Since I was 5 years old I had a hand in the kitchen. Helping my grandmother make sauce, pasta, vegetables, and cutting up fruit. I would go outside and help my grandfather cook the meats, make the meatballs, picked fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden. We cooked as a family and ate as a family.
